PFLITSCH scores in hygiene – in the food processing industry
EHEDG design: no chance for residue adherence and build-up of bacteria
Food production calls for especially high requirements for manufacturing plants. Particularly important are good corrosion protection, ease of cleaning and food compatibility. The aspect of hygiene is key in these situations.
To comply with DIN EN 1672-2:2005, residue adherence and contamination must be minimised or prevented. Cavities, gaps and open threads are therefore taboo. These are places where residues and bacteria can build up, creating problems that can prove very difficult to eradicate, even with intensive cleaning procedures.
PFLITSCH developed the new blueglobe CLEAN Plus® to meet these high requirements: hygienic design (smooth surfaces and rounded surfaces in contact with the wrench as well as no cavities, gaps, external threads) prevents the build-up of bacteria. For the cable gland body, PFLITSCH uses high-quality stainless steel grade 1.4404, which has established itself well in the food processing industry. The blueglobe CLEAN Plus® is the first cable gland to be certified in accordance with EHEDG standard and given BGN approval. It received the iF Award for good industrial design.
Wire tray has established itself as the standard for use in food processing plants because cleaning of the open system using steam or foam can be performed without problems and the build-up of contamination is minimised. Here PFLITSCH offers a full programme that extends from flat trays and the SWS (Single Wire System) for individual cables through Mini wire tray in various formats right up to full size Wire-tray systems. The roof-shaped cover protects the wire tray from external influences.
